Justine's Wish

Countless children are granted their wish of a lifetime because of your kindness and generosity. For Justine, that perfect wish was to swim with dolphins in Key Largo, Florida – a world full of sand, sun and ocean adventures.

Justine knew what her wish would be from the get-go; she even had a drawing to show Make-A-Wish that depicted her swimming and smiling with a dolphin. It’s a wonderful dream far away from her struggles with childhood illness, which all too often takes a great toll on Justine and her family.

During her wish, Justine experienced everything Key Largo had to offer and more, with gorgeous sunset cruises and sea creatures galore. Justine came face-to-face with a sea lion, and when she finally got the chance to swim beside those beloved dolphins, she could not keep the smile off her face. She took home an adorable turtle stuffed animal to always remember her days spent in Florida.

More than a nice vacation, wishes like Justine’s provide crucial strength for wish kids and their families whose lives are fraught with stress. Doctors’ appointments, hospital stays and new diagnoses are traumatic for any child to endure, which is why our vision at Make-A-Wish remains the same – to grant the wish of every eligible child.
